Ski & Stay Program Makes its Return
(Lehigh Valley, PA) - Although winter has
just begun, snow has been falling on the Lehigh Valley for quite some
time. Close to two feet of
the delightful powder has covered the area, leaving a beautiful landscape
of white stretching throughout the Valley.
The snowy season means more than just school delays and shoveling;
it means winter fun! Conditions
at the region's ski areas are ideal, and the Lehigh Valley is waiting to
welcome winter recreation enthusiasts for an enjoyable - and affordable -
getaway that won't be easily forgotten.
The Lehigh Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau is unveiling the
newest edition of its popular collection of Ski & Stay packages.
The packages, starting at just $54.99 per person, are available at
14 area hotels and offer accommodations, breakfast and entrance into one
of the Lehigh Valley's three winter recreation sites.
There is something for everyone during a Lehigh Valley winter!
Expert, intermediate and novice skiers alike will find the perfect
course on which to test their ability.
Snowboarders can soar down a snow-covered mountain, or tackle an
extreme half-pipe. Families,
who like to play in the snow without the thrill of the slopes, can try
their hands at tubing, the perfect activity for children and couples
alike.
With recreation areas the Lehigh Valley offers everything a snow-lover
could desire without the extravagant prices of larger ski regions.
And the Valley is right around the corner, within 90 miles of New
York City, Harrisburg and Philadelphia.
Blue Mountain Ski Area offers winter fun for thrill-seekers of all
abilities and interests, with 29 trails and Pennsylvania's highest
vertical. This season
welcomes a new 3,000 foot trail, a third teaching hill, a second terrain
park and an expanded Valley Lodge.
Bear Creek Ski & Recreation Area's 17 chilly trails and hot Tap Room
are ready and waiting. This
year, the facility opens an expanded half-pipe and a new tubing park!
Not all winter activities need to involve snow.
The Lehigh Valley is a bastion of arts and cultural opportunities,
shopping, fine dining, historical experiences and family fun.
When it's cold outside, it's always hot in one of the Valley's
great nightspots. Families
won't want to miss The Crayola FACTORY and National Canal Museum at Two
Rivers Landing, the Allentown Art Museum, the Liberty Bell Shrine,
Historic Bethlehem, the Martin Guitar Company factory tour and the
numerous winter excursions available in the Lchigh Valley.
All Lehigh Valley packages are detailed in the free Ski & Stay
package brochure. Brochures
may be ordered by calling (800) 747-0561.
