GREAT VACATIONS WITH KIDS BEGIN AT
THE PRINCEVILLE RESORT
Families are enjoying fun in the sun and an
array of tropical activities at the Princeville Resort on the
island of Kauai. Located overlooking beautiful Hanalei Bay with an
expansive white sand beach, the resort offers children a fun and
cultural experience in a safe and enjoyable setting.
FOR BABIES ONLY -Concierge services at the Princeville Resort
makes it convenient for parents traveling with small ones.
Strollers, car seats, portable playpens and other nursery items
can be reserved through "Babies Away" for a
minimal fee.
THE KEIKI ALOHA PROGRAM
The Princeville Resort's Keiki Aloha program is
available for children ages 5 to 12 years of age, and designed
with play in mind. Much more than a babysitting service, qualified
youth counselors plan a full schedule of activities such as lei
and ti-leaf making, sand art, Hawaiian music and dance implements
and Hawaiian history and folklore. Keikis also enjoy board games,
movies in the hotel's 62- seat theater and Hawaiian books.
Specific daily activities may be subject to change.
The program runs all year round and is offered
from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, except on
Friday when the program runs from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. This
program is not, offered on Sunday. A charge of $60.00 per child.
An additional child per family is $50.00. Lunch cost is extra and
charged to the parent's room based on consumption (usually from
the Beach Restaurant) and the Friday Evening program includes
dinner. No program on Sundays, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
While activities vary, a typical daily schedule
for the Keikis starts off with Orientation at 9:00 am.
Morning Activities which can include - Learn to
Dance the Hula, Tiny Bubbles – learn to Scuba, nature walk.
Lunch at the Beach restaurant or a picnic under the Kamani Tree,
while not included in the cost of the program provides another
wonderful experience. Afternoon Activities may offer - Story
telling, Show and Tell Crafts, Lei making or outrigger canoe rides
as just a few of the fun things Keikis will enjoy. Clean up comes
next and at 3:00 pm parents pickup children.
Sample Friday Evening Program start off with
Orientation at approximately 5:30 pm followed by Dinner at the
Cinema. Children may then enjoy a movie and a different twist to a
bedtime favorite with a Hawaiian bedtime story. Parents can pick
up their Keikis at 9:30 p.m.
For children under the age of 5, babysitting
service is available. The current cost is $10.00 + tax per child
per hour. The baby sitters will care for children belonging to the
same family at cost of $10. 00 + tax for the first child and $1.00
+ tax for each additional child (maximum 3 children per sitter).
