Outrigger Reef Fiji delivers
fun and value with
Free Kid's Program
Viti Levu, Fiji - Understanding children and
their interests can certainly be a challenge for parents, and
hotel operators as well. But at the Outrigger Reef Fiji on
Viti Levu's Coral Coast, the crew has put a lot of effort into
deciding what children want from their kids club. The end result is
the Takla Lailal Kids Club, a new year-round children's program that is
absolutely free to the resort's youngest guests.
Fijian for 'little canoe,' the Takia Lailai Kids Club offers a
range of programs themed especially for young visitors. The spacious
indoor clubhouse is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and it is here that kids are
introduced to the beauty and splendor of the Fijian culture. There is Fijian story telling
from village elders, hands-on demonstrations in local crafts like hat weaving and
even lessons in the Fijian language.
Other activities abound as well. For budding biologists there's
the 'On the Beach' program. Surveying the shoreline for marine life,
fishing and sand sculpture contests are just some of the activities. The 'In the Pool'
program is great fun for kids with freestyle swimming races, tag games, spy boards and
underwater treasure hunts.
A favorite among younger children is the 'On the Lawn' program
where they join others in coconut hunts, relays, tug of wars and three legged
races.
An evening program is open from 7 pm to 9 pm allowing parents
to spend a quiet dinner together. Individual babysitting services
are also available.
The Outrigger Reef Fiji's current Double Deals package makes
now a perfect time to visit Fiji. Guests who book a minimum of
four nights under the resort's Double Deals package pay for only
two nights. Book six nights and pay for three, or book eight
nights and pay for four, and so on. The Double Deals package is
valid through March 31, 2002. Families will appreciate the
Plantation Family Bures, which are two interconnecting bures with
a separate lounge area that can accommodate up to eight people.
The Outrigger Reef Fiji is the first luxury resort hotel to be
built on the Coral Coast in twenty years. The property features
207 deluxe rooms plus 47 thatched bures set in 17 hectares
of landscaped gardens, and many facilities including restaurants,
bars and on-site PADI Dive operator.
