Golden Eagle Resort - A Great
Place to Stay for Families Visiting Stowe
Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall, the Golden Eagle
Resort offers families great accommodations and facilities while
visiting and exploring the scenic Village of Stowe, Vermont and
the surrounding Green Mountains.
Golden Eagle Resort's location, just 1/2 mile from
the Village Center, makes it a convenient place to stay with easy
access to the recreation path and only minutes away from the Stowe
Ski area.
The accommodation choices at Golden Eagle are sure
to suit the needs of every size of family, perfect for a day,
weekend, week and any where in between.
Guests can choose from Superior, Deluxe and Deluxe
Plus rooms and mini-suites to 1 and 2 bedroom suites and
apartments. Full size 3 and 4 bedroom houses are also
available, which are perfect for large families. Kitchen
facilities are available all accommodation types except Superior
and Deluxe and range from efficiency kitchens to fully equipped
kitchens.
From Mid June to Labor Day Golden Eagle Resort's
Family Vacation Package includes its popular children's programs
for children 4 years and older.
Kids Morning Up happens on Monday, Wednesday,
Friday and Saturday, 9:00 am to noon with crafts, nature study,
hiking, games and more. Lunch can also be included.
Pizza Night happens on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:00
pm. For only $5.00 per child, kids are supervised while they
enjoy pizza and a movie.
Kids are treated to their own "Night
Out" on Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with movies and
refreshments. This program is free to Golden Eagle guests.
With two outdoor pools and one indoor pool,
swimming is a year round pursuant at the Resort, complimented by a
fitness center and health spa.
Children flock to the playground area located on
the property. The pirate ship play structure makes for hours
of imaginative play and a gathering place for the younger
set. Shuffleboard and tennis courts are also
available.
The lobby area offers a relaxing sitting room,
gift shop and a games room complete with pool table and ping pong.
Two stocked
ponds afford an opportunity to try your hand at fishing or take a
leisurely stroll along one of the hiking or walking trails located
on the 80 acres of Golden Eagle Resort.
The Colonial Coffee Shop serves breakfast daily
from 7:00 am to 11:00 am and the Partridge Inn Seafood Restaurant
has delectable choices for evening meals. Children's menus
are available at both establishments.
Family packages are available that make this Stowe
area Resort even more attractive for families.
